Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park, Waller, Texas

Jim has been dressing up as Yogi Bear every morning since we began work, only because he is the tallest one working in activities and in good health.  Every morning at 9:00am Yogi heads up to the flag pole and participates in the Pledge of Allegiance.  Then the kids come up and get pictures taken with him.  Here is one with his favorite girl.

Wake Up the Bears Day at Lone Star Yogi

Today was the big day here - met at the Bear's Den at 8:30 am and Yogi (Jim), Cindy (Fran) and BooBoo (Gayle) got dressed so the children could "wake up the bears" from their winter's nap.  There was a bunch of kids waiting outside to wake us up.  From there we got into a golf cart and drove across the street to the flag pole where we said the pledge of allegiance.  We then had photos taken with the bears.  I had so many little kids coming up and hugging all of them - it was incredible.  It's amazing how much these bears are loved by the kids - Yogi and friends have been around for so many years (even when we were kids) but they have been kept alive even now.

Lone Star Yogi RV Park - First day of work

Our first day of work at Lone Star Yogi and are getting an ear full on all the miscommunication and lack of help we are getting from the manager and owner.  The Directors they hired were here for three weeks and were just getting the run around while trying to get anything done; so bad that they were on each other's throats and getting mad at each other too much.  They decided that the crap they have had to deal with is just not worth it, and decided to call it quits.  So now instead of 6 of us working, we are down to 4 to run the crafts, train, hay wagon, games, wear the character outfits to name a few.  The characters have to make an appearance once a day during the season and can only be in the outfit for 15 minutes or they will fry.

We also got the Yogi train out and all of us learned how to drive it and take it around the campground.
