Lone Star Yogi RV Park, Waller, Texas

Made it to Lone Star Yogi campground today and are getting settled in.  Getting our site "liveable" with the awning out, picnic table, fire ring (hope we get to use it since I cannot see us having a fire with 90 weather), chairs, flamingo, wind chimes.  I like the fence that goes around our site as it adds so much more privacy to our site.

This place is huge; it has a huge water slide, swimming pools for little kids and older kids and adults, and an adult pool.  It has around 150 cabins and just as many RV sites.  It also has pet friendly cabins. It has a recreation center where kids can paint and do other activities, along with pancake breakfasts, hay rides, pool games, wet and wild rides, fire truck rides, karaoke, candy bar bingo, mini golf course, to name a few of the activities.  Seems like we will have a very busy summer.

The people come here for the water park and activities, and we have been very busy in Yogi's Rec Center selling ceramics, t-shirts; running the train around the campground; the bears all come out once a day.  We also have games, ice cream social on Saturday, pancake breakfast on Sunday morning, to name a few.  Here are some pictures of the campground and some of the other activities: basketball, volleyball, mini golf, fishing.

Jim has been dressing up as Yogi Bear every morning since we began work, only because he is the tallest one working in activities and in good health.  Every morning at 9:00am Yogi heads up to the flag pole and participates in the Pledge of Allegiance.  Then the kids come up and get pictures taken with him.  Here is one with his favorite girl.
